Janelle Lombard:
I am a hard-working Grade 11 student at Steyn City School in Johannesburg. Every year I try to complete a challenging activity. This year the Rhino Peak Challenge came my way! What a privilege. I have done a few interesting hikes: from hiking up an active volcano on Reunion Island to hiking up beautiful mountain ranges in South Africa. When I set my mind on something I don’t stop until I reach my goal. The Rhino Peak Challenge is the perfect goal for 2023. I love serving, if not in underprivileged areas, it is walking the streets of Johannesburg picking up litter - serving our earth.
Randal Cunningham:
My name is Randal but most call me razz , I’ve always felt the need to produce and try do more for ourselves and our beautiful country and when I heard about this opportunity I couldn’t pass I had to take it because I love to lead and do my best in everything I do.

Reason for taking challenge:
AJ Rudman:
Ultimately it is about awareness, students need role models for us to change the world we need to roll up our sleeves and lead.
Alyssa Schumacher:
I love animals, being in nature and exercising and so it’s a beautiful combination. As members of society, we really need to do everything we possibly can to make a difference for future generations, and the rhino peak challenge is an amazing opportunity to do just that.
Emily Basel:
I love animals and nature and I want to help in any way I can. I love being outdoors and spending time in nature.

Raising funds while hiking in the beautiful Drakensberg is an amazing privilege and opportunity not many will ever have. When I heard about the Rhino Peak Challenge, I knew it was for me! I love hiking/trail running and most important of all I find joy in raising funds for a good cause. In this case, it is to preserve our magnificent wildlife in South Africa.
Randal Cunningham:
My contribution to this challenge and fundraiser is the perfect opportunity to show what I am capable of and show what lengths I would go to help a cause in need. I’m extremely excited to take this challenge and I am looking forward to it.
Josslyn Potgieter:
I enjoy being involved in giving back to the community and helping people and animals. I will go above and beyond to help as much as I possibly can.
